There is so much stuff going on right now, I am beginning to think that my brain might explode.
The "good day" at work that I posted a couple of posts ago was just that.. a good day, but only ONE good day. I am so over that place it is not funny. I feel like giving them a piece of my mind.. but I am too far overloaded with all the work to have the time. Also too overworked and tired to have the energy.
It's not even worth asking management for a part time staff member to help me, because their attitude is that if I can't get it done, then it's my own lack of time management that is to blame. That's nice. Maybe if there WERE 50 hours in the day I could keep up to date.
And whatever software I suggest we need in order to help me run my department more efficiently is simply another reason for management to get shitty with me.
You can understand how thrilled I was to be offered another job!
Yes, I am over the moon.
Still have to sort out a contract, and run through a LOT of things before I can definately say that I will take it, but at this point I would be incredibly dumb not to, especially as every day in my current job leaves me more stressed and more bitter and more unhappy.
Starting date is 1st October, which gives us time to sort out everything (I hope)
I can't wait!
As for the real estate? We're still looking. Seriously.
Larger mortgage repayments, but I'm convinced it will be worth it. It will save us money on grazing and hay, and give us the opportunity to generate more income also.
Tomorrow I'm off to Auckland (again) for my grandma's memorial service.
Another early start, when I desperately need a sleep!

yes, its a vicious cycle. I've been there. And when you get home you feel like doing absolutely nothing (I did anyway). Your management sounds depressingly familiar to some management I had at a previous job. Really good that you have another job lined up!

What was your solution to your similar situation? Bugger off?

Then, I came back to Europe (now living on Holland) and got my regular type job within two weeks that is infinitely better than my old one. So, in short, I did just bugger off :)
I guess what I'm saying is that if you have the flexibility to just quite and go do something else (even if it is just looking for another job) then do it. But of course, you have to consider money and all that :(
Phew! That came out longer than I thought! Sorry if I sounded lectury.

Sadly I don't really have the flexibility to just quit and bugger off. At least not without a lot of stress and money worries! :(
Thanks :)
